Christmas was a blast

We cant believe that it is already the middle of January!! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Seth's first Christmas was a delight for him and us! Having a baby at Christmas time really makes it more joyous. I was actually anxious again. When I was little I would be so anxious for all of the presents under the tree. As I got older that lessened and now that we have Seth, that anticipation for presents came back! Not for myself but for Seth's gifts!- hehe.

First we had gifts with my side of the family on Christmas Eve. There were soo many presents under our tree! Seth was definitely well loved (aka spoiled!)

Posing with Peyton, trying to eat the presents. This was before they learned that something cool was INSIDE of the wrapping paper. Peyton actually fell asleep after only a few presents :)

Opening his first gift. Seth quickly figured out that there were toys inside and couldn't wait to play with them. Which, by the way, why are they so hard to open? There are a million twisty ties in those packages! It is insane!

Playing with Grand Dad. Helping other people open their presents was fun too!

On Christmas day we opened presents with Tanner's family. By then, Seth was a pro!

Being goofy with Pampa! He is modeling his new gloves.

Another fun toy! Playing with all the new stuff was a bit overwhelming, but definitely fun

When I have a chance I will add more pictures! Seth is 11 months old now and I cant believe I will be planning his first birthday party already!

10 months & 6 years

So Seth is 10months old today and it is our 6 year Anniversary! What a day today!
These were Seth's 9 month pictures. We also got our first family pictures done too. He did really well considering he was WAY overdue for a nap. November has been a busy month for us. We finally closed on the lots and excavation is underway. Thankgiving was .... interesting. We went to Silverton and Seth didn't do well sleeping away from home. We got very little sleep.

Seth and Peyton are so much fun to watch. They have such different personalities. Seth loves to give Peyton loves and Peyton doesn't want to be touched! She will shriek and run away. Same with toys, they both want what the other has and if Seth takes one away she will shriek, grab it, and run away. It is just so entertaining.

Seth sure knows how to crack us up now. He has become a silly boy when he isn't being serious.

We just finished our first session of waterbabies swim class. Sadly he has started to hate laying back in the water (this includes the bath tub!) so it has been a struggle to learn to float. He enjoys the rest of the class though. He especially likes to splash, watch me blow bubbles, and he likes when we learn to climb up out of the pool.

And lastly, his new trick. He started walking along furniture and using his walker. He also lets go while standing and will free stand for 2-3 seconds. I dont know if he even realizes what he is doing because he just sits down calmly when he starts going unbalanced.

Seth's first Halloween!

We had Seth dressed up as a construction worker :) People kept asking if he was Bob the Builder hehe. Tanner would correct them and say he was Seth the Builder. He had a tool belt with tools on, but because of his jacket, you cant see it too cleaerly. He also had a 5' oclock shadow that everyone kept commenting on.

We went to the fair grounds where they hold a harvest festival. There was games, blow up jump things, a petting zoo, food, etc. It was fun. Seth really liked looking around at everyone. We met up with Krystal and Matt and Peyton briefly. Then we ran into another friend and went to the petting zoo with them.

After, we went to see his Maama and then around to a few neighbors to trick or treat. By then Seth was pooped. It was a fun night.

Still nothing new with the lots. We are waiting for financing. Still. Seems so slow. I dont remember it being this way last time. It will be worth it in the end though, just need to keep reminding ourselves this.

Hope your Halloween was fun!

October fun

We have been having a lot fun lately!

Seth is loving waterbabies. He loves to splash splash splash. He doesn't care for trying to float, but is a trooper about it. I am finding the part that we both dislike the most is trying to get dry and dressed AFTER the lessons :) I think he will do great in the long run because it doesn't scare him at all.

He is crawling like a pro and has started getting good at pulling himself into a standing position. I wasn't ready for crawling, but I know I am definitely not ready for walking!

Seth has gone through most of the first foods now and the only ones he dislikes are avocados and prunes. He loves peaches, plums, and squash. He also thinks that sippy cup is a lot of fun.

We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend. It was fun. Unfortunately it started pouring down rain right as we got to the pumpkin patch so I couldn't get any pictures of Seth wtih the pumpkins. We did get to go on a hay ride, go through a maze, and play in a corn "sandbox". Then we went home and after Seth went to sleep we carved the pumpkins. Matt and Krystal started to help, but had to go home early.
We are still in escrow on the land in Philomath. We really hope this wraps up by Halloween, but who knows. It is a tad stressful, especially for Tanner. Work is going well for both of us. I picked up an extra day every week to help cover while someone is on maternity leave. I think just until the end of the year... hopefully. I haven't commited past December.

8 months old!

Where is the time going?? He is crawling and eating and learning new skills everyday. It makes me so sad that he isnt a baby anymore. On the other hand, it is so much fun to watch him learning and as each day passes I have more and more fun with him.

Start your engines!!

Seth is crawling! So he isnt graceful by any means, but he moves. We aren't ready for this! So much baby proofing needs to be done and sadly, it means I have to make sure my floors are spotless because it never fails.... if there is something on the floor, even the tiniest thing, Seth will find it. And of course, it will go straight into his mouth. He has also cut his 3rd tooth! The crawling and the 3rd tooth all in one day. Needless to say, it was an exhausting day for us all.

Today we start water babies at the aquatic center. It should be fun! I'll update afterwards. We are only a couple weeks away from closing on the two lots we are in escrow for. The projected date for the houses to be completed is in April. We aren't looking forward to trying to sell this house, but we have to do what we have to do.

Let see... Seth's newest foods to try:
Apples: loves them
Avocado: ha! yeah right. He hates them.
Bananas: YUM!

Next on the list is peaches... I think he will like these. He has liked everything so far with the exception of the avocados.

Ok, and a quick rant. Seth is so tall! Thats not the rant though. Like his daddy, pants are going to be hard to find! He is in 12month sized clothing for a couple weeks now (and he isnt quite 8months old) and the pants fit great lengthwise but with Seth's skinny waist they are so baggy at the top. Do they make baby belts? haha. I need to find the adjustable waisted kind of pants.

Airplanes!

We went to the Evergreen Aviation Museum on Labor day and had a blast! We saw lots of planes of all shapes and sizes. I don't think Seth was too interested in the planes, but he enjoyed just strolling around watching people etc. He got lots of compliments on how cute he is and how good he was being. We saw the Spruce Goose and watched a Cirque De Soleil 3D movie at the IMAX theater. Seth actually watched with 3D glasses on too!
